– Alba (CN), November 5, 2024 – Born ANFIS (National Association of Rows Sustainable), a new non-profit dedicated to the promotion of sustainable development in the areas of wine and agriculture. Lassociation, which has its headquarters in Alba, in the heart of the Langhe, unesco world heritagesite, is presided over by Fabrizio Bertoluzzo, managing director of BFM, the company in the sector of agricultural machinery has always been committed on the slopes innovation and sustainability.

A mission for theenvironment andagriculture

“ANFIS is born from the awareness that the future ofagriculture depends on our ability to innovate in the respect ofthe environment,” says Fabrizio Bertoluzzo, President of theassociation. “Our mission is to educate and raise the awareness of farmers on theimportance ofagriculture that respects lenvironment and preserve the rural Italian landscape, by providing them with the tools, knowledge and support needed to address this challenge.”

A crucial moment for theItalian agriculture

Lassociation comes at a crucial time for the Italian agriculture. According to theObservatory Smart AgriFood, the market ofAgriculture 4.0 in Italy has reached a value of 2.5 billion euros in 2023, registering a growth of 19% compared tothe previous year. Ladoption of digital technologies in the farms is steadily increasing, but only 9% of the Utilised Agricultural Area (UAA) is currently being managed with solutions 4.0, highlighting a path of transition is still in progress.

Build a network of excellence

“With ANFIS,” continues Bertoluzzo, “we are building a network of excellence that unites producers of machinery, agricultural businesses, professionals, and institutions. A virtuous system, where the collaboration and the exchange of experiences generate continuous innovation, and real results. Our goal is to create a platform to share best practices for amore sustainable agriculture”.

A vision for the future

Lthe association will operate on several fronts: from scientific research, in collaboration with universities and research centers, technical training of operators, it is up to the promotion of events and initiatives for the dissemination of the best sustainable agricultural practices. A particular focus will be dedicated to the cultivation techniques of inter-row and interceppo, which are crucial for the preservation of the soil and theoptimisation of water resources.

A scientific committee to ensure quality

ANFIS will make use of a Technical Committee composed of industry experts, which will provide advice on the activities of theassociation and to propose innovative programs. This structure will ensure a rigorous approach that is scientifically validated to the challenges of sustainability in agriculture.
