STRONG ROOTS, MODERN VISION

The Origins of BFM Italy

BFM Italy was born from the recovery of a long-standing body of expertise in inter-row cultivation. Its roots trace back to a historic Italian manufacturer that produced inter-row machinery from 1964 to 2009, becoming a benchmark in the sector. BFM Italy acquired that technical and production heritage, preserving its knowledge and bringing it into a new evolutionary phase.

Prior to founding BFM Italy, Fabrizio Bertoluzzo was active in his family business: sales, servicing and small-scale manufacture of agricultural equipment. In that context, he was also an authorised dealer of this historic machinery brand, developing first-hand knowledge of the product, its limitations and the real needs of its users.

Working also on the repair of machinery from various manufacturers - including brands that are now direct competitors - he identified over time recurring failures, structural defects and design limitations that often only became apparent after years of use in the field.

It is from this hands-on experience that BFM Italy's true know-how was forged: the ability to rethink manufacturing processes, eliminate observed weaknesses and design machinery that is more robust, straightforward and long-lasting. Not theory, but technical solutions derived from years of direct work on machines that broke down or failed to meet real operational needs.

In parallel, Fabrizio Bertoluzzo's professional development extended into metalworking and structural fabrication companies, where he acquired specific expertise in light structural steelwork, subsequently applied to the design of agricultural machinery.

BFM Italy was founded at the intersection of all these experiences: historical product knowledge, direct field experience, structural manufacturing competence and industrial vision. Not an improvised start-up, but the natural evolution of decades of work in the sector, reinterpreted to meet the demands of modern agriculture.

NOT THEORY. EXPERIENCE.

Historical knowledge, direct field work, structural expertise.

BFM Italy was not born from a desk idea, but from decades of hands-on experience turned into machinery that is more robust, simple and long-lasting.

THE PERSON BEHIND THE MACHINES

Fabrizio Bertoluzzo: meet the founder

BFM Italy was founded and is led by Fabrizio Bertoluzzo, an entrepreneur and designer whose career was built on the ground and in the workshop, in close contact with farms, agricultural contractors and professionals in the wine and fruit-growing sectors.

His expertise is neither theoretical nor academic: it comes from direct work, from observing operational problems and from the need to find concrete solutions - not compromises.

Under his leadership, BFM Italy has developed a range of machinery recognised for: structural robustness, simplicity of construction, minimal maintenance and long-term reliability.

The engineering philosophy is clear: every machine must perform in the field, adapt to different crop configurations, withstand intensive use throughout the season and reduce problems - not create them.

Less marketing, more substance. Fewer promises, more results.
